Invitation for Bids for the Sale of Motor-Vehicle, Motor-Cycle and Other Items

Disposal Reference number. NFA/DISP/21-22/00001.

The National Forestry Authority intends to sell Motor-Vehicle, Motor-Cycle and other items.

The Motor-Vehicle, Motor-Cycle and other items are sold on an “as is, where is” basis and the National Forestry Authority will have no further liability after sale.

The National Forestry Authority now invites sealed bids for the purchase of Motor-Vehicle, Motor-Cycle and other items

Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Act, 2003 of the Government of Uganda and is open to all bidders.

A CONSULTANCY TO REVIEW AND RE-NEGOTIATE CFM PLANS AND AGREEMENTS OF ECHUYA CENTRAL FOREST RESERVE

The National Forestry Authority (NFA) is seeking the services of a consultant to review and renegotiate four Collaborative Forest Management (CFM) Plans and Agreements for Echuya Central Forest Reserves (CFRs) in Uganda. In addition, the consultant will facilitate the development of an additional new CFM agreement for the reserve. NFA is a semiautonomous government organization established under the National Forestry and Tree Planting Act (2003) to sustainably manage Central Forest Reserves in Uganda.

NATIONAL FORESTRY AUTHORITY (NFA)

NFA was established under section 52 of The National Forestry and Tree Planting Act and was launched on the 26th April 2004. Forestry policy 2001. NFA is mandated to; “Manage Central Forest Reserves on a sustainable basis and to supply high quality forestry-related products and services to government, local communities and the private sector".NFA has a vision of A self-sustaining institution with a well-managed forest estate for socio-economic transformation and environmental integrity. A Mission to To conserve Uganda’s forests and restore ecosystems for socio-economic transformation for present and future generations. NFA has a mandate of managing 506 Central Forest Reserves (CFR’s) totaling to 1,265,741 ha of the land cover, with objectives of improving management of the CFRs, expanding partnership arrangements, supplying forest and non-forest products and services and ensuring organizational stability.
